Florida Bass Survey

From Episode 2001

We’ve all heard the saying about building a better mousetrap but why not a better bass? Biologists from the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency, with the help of anglers, have been stocking Florida largemouth bass in Chickamauga Lake near Chattanooga with that goal in mind. Wild Side Guide Richard Simms brings us their “shocking” story. It’s “shocking” because TWRA uses the shocking method to momentarily stun fish as part of a survey to determine how well the Florida bass stocking program is working.

Learn more about TWRA’s efforts by visiting the agency’s website at www.tnwildlife.org. While there be sure to purchase your license. You can do it right on line.
