Big Bone Cave

From Episode 203

Big Bone Cave

Tucked into the hills at Rock Island State Park near McMinnville, Tennessee, is a “land down under!” Wild Side Guide Holly Sherwin takes viewers on an adventure both exciting and historic as she and a group of spelunkers discover one of Tennessee’s most historic caves, Big Bone Cave! Remnants of the days of the Civil War are still present, as well as remnants of inhabitants from thousands of years ago! Holly shows us how the dryness of this particular cave serves as a natural preservative of days gone by.
